Adopting from LUOSKO German Shepherd Dog Rescue
Here at LUOSKO we are committed to looking after the best interests of our dogs at all times. We don't just 'rehome' our dogs, we have a slow process which enables us to match potential owners and dogs, work with them over the course of a few weeks to ensure we have a successful bonding and even after adoption we hope as part of our extended family, people feel that they can come back to us for continued support and advice.
We have a seven point adoption process that ALL our new families have to adhere to and on average our adoptions normally take anywhere up to 3 weeks depending on the dog and family in question.
Unless our dogs are already bonded pairs, we DO NOT rehome more than one dog to an individual home, no matter how big your home is. We are happy to offer a second dog after a minimum 12 month period subject to assessment.
Obtaining a dog from a different rescue during the first 12 months is strictly against our rules and could render your adoption void, doing so will mean that we will reclaim the dog from your care and you may also be liable for costs.
Dogs come into rescue for multiple reasons, some not so good. Some come to us because of behavioral issues directly related to their previous owners; please note that once you adopt one of our dogs you are restricted from making contact with the previous owners, doing so may render your adoption void and you will have to return the dog to the rescue, again you will be liable for any costs incurred.
Please ensure you are open and honest in respect to your lifestyle, work, children and pets when talking to us or filling out forms – This enables us to make a suitable match with you and our dogs; we don’t judge people, we assess everyone on there own merits.
Remember that some dogs are just not suited for some homes and families, its nothing personal. Sometimes people come looking for a pup and fall in love with an older dog and visa versa. That is why we try and match you with the right dog in care, old dogs can learn new tricks and can sometimes turn out to be a lot more loyal!
Our adoption process requires YOU the adopter to provide us with the correct information and commitment for us to make an informed decision on :
1. Which dogs are suitable for you and your lifestyle
2. How we can assist with integrating your new dog
3. What ongoing support we think you will need
If you are ready to start our process then click the link below, which will take you to some of our currently available doggies :-) please note we do not put a lot of information on the initial pictures of our dogs as we prefer to discuss individual dogs with potential owners.
